Singaporean breaks world record for most number of pull-ups

Singapore, Jun 24 (IANS): A Singaporean teenager Yeo Kim Yeong, who was obsessed with pull-ups at the age of 15, broke the world record for the most number of pull-ups done in one minute, The Strait Times reported on Tuesday.

The young boy managed 44 pull-ups in a minute, two more than the previous record of 42 set by American David Bourdon, according to the Guinness World Record.

Yeo said he set his mind on setting a world record and that he always believed that nothing was impossible. He trained under professional guidance for over a year, four times a week, each session lasting between one and three hours, according to Xinhua.

He also practiced self-meditation in the evening. He expected himself achieving the record while reviewing the techniques of pull-ups in his head again and again.
