Government seeks report over sexual harassment in St.Stephen's


New Delhi, June 24 (IANS): Delhi's education ministry has sought a report from St.Stephen's principal about the alleged sexual harassment of a research student by a professor at the college, an official told IANS.

College principal Valson Thampu told IANS that he will send the report to the ministry soon.

"The notice came in yesterday (Tuesday) evening. I will send it (the report) to the ministry," Thampu said.

A Delhi University research scholar has alleged that a professor at St. Stephen's college sexually harassed her for one year.
