'Deeper Indo-Slovenia ties will benefit both nations'

New Delhi, June 24 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said relations between India and Slovenia will continue to "deepen" and "diversify further" for the mutual benefit of people of both the nations.

"On behalf of the government, people of India and myself, I would like to extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the friendly people of Slovenia on the occasion of your National Day," the President said.

"It is a matter of satisfaction that there have been regular contacts between our governments and peoples since your visit to India in 2011 as Prime Minister of Slovenia. India was the focus country at the business segment of the Bled Strategic Forum 2014," said the President in his message to Slovenia President Borut Pahor on the eve of the country's National Day (June 25).

"Such exchanges have invigorated our cooperation in several fields, including those of science and technology, education, trade and commerce and culture. I am confident that these ties will continue to deepen and diversify further to the mutual benefit of our two peoples."
