India-Mozambique ties will strengthen further: President


New Delhi, June 24 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday expressed confidence that Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi's visit to India in August will "further strengthen" ties between the two nations, a statement said.

"I look forward to your visit to India in August this year. I am confident that the relations between our two countries will further strengthen in the years to come," Mukherjee said extending his greetings and felicitations to Nyusi on the eve of the country's Independence Day (June 25)

"India and Mozambique share warm and close bilateral relations, which have been expanding in recent years, to the mutual benefit of both our peoples."

"On behalf of the government and people of India, as well as on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency and to the people of Mozambique warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day," he said.
