President condoles Bhuria's death


New Delhi, Jun 25 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday condoled the death of Dileep Singh Bhuria, a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Madhya Pradesh.

"I am saddened to learn about the passing away of Dileep Singh Bhuria," he said, noting Bhuria served the nation with distinction including as member of Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly and MP and "made immense contribution for the welfare of the downtrodden sections of society".

"He shall be remembered for his service towards the upliftment of adivasis and promotion of the co-operative movement," Mukherjee said.

"Kindly accept my heartfelt condolences and convey the same to other members of your family. I pray to the almighty to give you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss," the president said in his condolence message to Bhuria's wife Vesabai.

The 71-year-old Bhuria, Lok Sabha member from Ratlam-Jhabua constituency, died in the morning at a private hospital in Gurgaon. He is survived by wife, two sons and four daughters.
