Delhi government schools see dip in enrolment


New Delhi, Jun 25 (IANS): The number of students enrolling in Delhi government schools have seen a dip, according to the Economic Survey of Delhi 2014-15 released on Wednesday.

The number of such schools rose from 992 in 2013-14 to 1,007 in 2014-15, but only 15,41,992 took admission in these schools in 2014-15 as against 16,10,405 in the previous fiscal.

Improving education in government schools is one of the top priorities of the Aam Aadmi Party government which has promised to add 500 schools in the national capital.
