US, EU pledge help to rebuild Nepal


Kathmandu, June 25 (IANS): Nepal's development partners on Thursday pledged to help rebuild its physical structures after the nation was hit by a series of quakes in April.

At an international donors meet here, US Ambassador to Nepal Peter Bodde announced an aid of $200 million to the Himalayan nation.

Similarly, the Asian Development Bank extended a $600 million support, while the European Union (EU) pledged an additional 100 million euros budget support grant to Nepal.
