Praveen, India doesnt manufacture any of these cctv camera's and all are imported from China. The thing is that China has excellent cctv camera's but we go by the concept of lowest quotation and that is what we get!.

Thieves break into Barkur temple and stolen worth articles Rs 4 lac, caught on CCTV camera but faces are not clearly visible.Ridiculous.Why inferior quality cameras to be installed?.Just for name sake or to please the concerned authorities? As per the guidelines and order of the concerned authorities CCTV cameras to be installed in some designated public places, praying centers, temples, mosques, churches, bank and school premises etc, which should be of good qualities. But in order to cut the cost,in some places, sub standard CCTVs are being installed. This is why picture are not clearly visible in CCTVs,when the concerned authorities needed.Shame on the part of it. What is the use of installing CCTV cameras which are of no use.

@ Praveen Udipi, here is the question from where is the camera but who and why they installed it to see the back?or proper angle?of course chinese have good one they too use it you see.The thieves must have known how it works and got down to Action. Now a good viewer is necessary.Knowing the often thefts in temple People should have be careful with costly items.I dont think they will catch them.

The images show two persons committing the crime, but their faces were not clearly visible. i mean are you serious ? what kind of a cctv camera is that ? and couldn't they install more than one from different angles . irresponsible and security just for name sake ....so many such incidents happening in ATM ,Temple etc. when will these Police learn that they need to be more vigilant or install expensive and many cctv cameras. all they can say is faces are not clear what is the purpose of cctv camera then in the first place if the thieves faces are not clear ..

Dear friends, I think this is the plan to trap the thieves. If Police publish we have identified their faces, this Thieves will hide for some time.

If they say faces are not clearly visible, thieves will roam bindas....

There is a chance old camera's night vision will not be clear but when they turn & come back by facing camera, I sure Police can identify the faces by zooming by using Computer technics.

Anyway let us hope Police will succeed in catching the real thieves.

Better to install latest cameras at all such important places.
