PM following 'Raje dharma, not rajya dharma', says Cong

New Delhi, Jun 27 (PTI): Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Lalitgate, Congress today accused him of following "Raje dharma" and "not rajya dharma" by shielding Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

"The Prime Minister should follow 'rajya dharma' and not 'Raje dharma' or 'Lalit dharma'," party spokesman Ajoy Kumar told reporters here even as he reiterated the party's demand for the sacking of Raje and Swaraj.

Targeting the prime minister, Kumar said that his response on the issues of corruption and black money was "very disappointing" after his "tall promises" made during the Lok Sabha polls.

"Instead of taking action on these issues, Modi has become the protector of those having huge black money," he charged.

Kumar's remarks follow in the wake of the BJP central leadership coming out to back Raje after initially not voicing its support for days.

Rajasthan BJP has, meanwhile, refuted all the allegations against her, saying the document which she signed in support of former IPL boss Lalit Modi's immigration application was never produced in court as she had backed out of it later.

However, the Congress spokesman argued that Raje has committed an "anti-national" act by secretly supporting the immigration application of Lalit Modi.

This has exposed BJP's "pseudo-nationalism", he claimed. Incidentally, when he was the Gujarat Chief Minister 13 years back at the time when the state was rocked by riots, Narendra Modi was asked by the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to "follow Raj Dharma".

It is time that Mr Modi, the PM of India who preaches morality to the whole world dismisses Ms Sushma Swaraj and Ms Smriti Irani and directs Ms Vasundhara Raje to resign. We have heard enough of his hypocrisy and cannot take it any longer. The Pot cannot call the kettle black. Trying to earn brownie points by accusing the Congress or other political parties does not hold water since BJP promised to be a Corruption free party and to free the country from Corruption. Let them please remain true to their election promises. Or else the best decision would be Mr Narendra Modi's exit as PM if he has no control over the party and cannot take action against those who support corrupt people and/or involved in sharing the loot as birthday gifts .

This is a riddiculous statement by Cong. Its better to stop the mud slinging and close. BJP has already given Raje the clean chit & has assured back up. Any right thinking person can clearly see the wrong doing of Raje/Dushyant/Sushma and absconder Chota Modi (black money holder) with the paper trail that is shown in the news. One does not require to be a lawyer or chartered account to understand it. The corruption is crystal clear and dishonesty of BJP leaders staggering.

With already so much of time lost, nobody will ever / ever give BJP the benefit of doubt anymore.

This scam is first of its kind where the paper trail clearly establishes the BJP crime and corruption. If such clear evidences are there where money getting into congress ministers accounts under UPA, BJP would have asked for hanging them and rightly so. Without which at least UPA ministers have resigned and gone, but BJP is soo shameless they are defending the corrupt and traitors.

If UPA did not take any action against LaMo, who revoked his passport? Who set up ED inquiry against him? Why was he forced to leave India and live in London since 2010, if not fear of law?

LaMo is Raje's product...if not for Vasundhara Raje, he would never have risen to these heights...during Raje's term as CM of Rajasthan since 2003, LaMo was the one who controlled Rajasthan politics... Raje was CM but LaMo was Super CM...he called the shots while Raje remained mute spectator....even the govt officers had to go to LaMo's room to get signature on papers....if a govt is to be believed, LaMo sat with his legs on CM's table in Raje's office even....you know what Raje did at the behest of LaMo to oust Rajasthan cricket Association king Kishore Rungta from the post? She tweaked the Law is such a way that 31 members of district 33 Cricket Associations could not vote at all, leaving the reaming ones to vote for LaMo...when LaMo launched IPL, Arun Jaitley was in BCCI and Delhi Cricket Association...Narendra Modi was the president of Gujarat Cricket Association...and when finally UPA initiated inquiry Sushma Swaraj husband and her daughter were among the bunch of lawyers who defended LaMo's case...BCCI had sacked LaMo for life from all cricket related matters...yet when Raje came into power again in 2013 December, she reinstated LaMo as the president of RCA which finally had to be challenged in court...so Raje is the one who nurtured and promoted LaMo and in turn he brought fortunes of crores to Raje and her family including the 'scandolous' deal involving Amber Development & Management Authority....

IPL was probed under congress and Chota Modi ran away to london, to avoid arrest. He could have brought back, but who could have suspected silent treachery of tall BJP leaders like Raje and Sushma. They begged with british MP's for his residency and stay, saying he is clean man and hounded by congress and signed papers to help him. The same Modi Govt., called Green Peace activist priya pillai a traitor. Her offense she was to present british MP's, the plight of tribals, given a UK company taking over their land. She was offloaded from boarding the plane and charged with treachery. HC later acquitted her. Such a proactive Modi Govt., do not want to see documentational evidence against sushma and Raje. What a patriotism ...sirji.

In his election promises, Mr. Modi had promised that he would be sitting like a hawildar and keeping an eye on those who try to loot the country. All such promises were made only to fool the public and garner votes. It is now as clear as daylight that promises were made by Mr. Modi only to enjoy the loaves and fishes of office. People were fools to vote for him. But, frankly the people were so fed with the Congress that the great orator that he is, Mr. Modi took advantage of the situation and unleashed his promises. Here it was not the BJP the people voted for, the vote was for Mr. Modi. And what has he done now? He has shamelessly let down the people who pinned their hopes on him. If he has any shame left in him, he has to put his foot down and tell all those who are coming in his way that either he has his way or his relinquishes office. We do not need a weak P.M. It is an open secret that the BJP is as corrupt as the Congress but we want someone to stop the loot of this country. If Mr. Modi cannot do that, the people of this country will show him the way out. The earlier he realizes this, the better for him.

When UPA was in power, on all scams and corruptions, BJP was going all out on Mr. Manmohan Singh, why he is silent and not opening his mouth like? What currently going on in the country, why our current BJP prime minister is silent? for small small maters he immediately tweets, he tweeted on tweeter before Nepal earthquake tremors could settle down and Nepalese could know on the earthquake that their country was hit by earthquake, Mr. Modi had twitted on tweeter about it, why same PM’s fingers are frozen now ?on Vasumdara and Shushma’s case to tweet ?
