Modi pays tribute to P.V. Narasimha Rao on birth anniversary

New Delhi, June 28 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tribute to former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary.

"Tributes to P.V. Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary. We remember him as a wonderful scholar with very rich political experience," he said.

Rao was prime minister from June 21, 1991 to May 16, 1996.

He was born on June 28, 1921 at Karimnagar in Telangana and died in 2004.
