London, Jun 30: With just days to go for the much-awaited 'Wilfy Nite', the first in London, 'Konkan Maina' Meena Rebimbus along with Vishwas Rebimbus, Ivan Sequeira, Babita Pinto, Pappan, Joswin Pinto and Leslie Rego arrived at Heathrow airport in London late evening on Monday June 29.
The Konkani Kutam London (KKL) committee members welcomed the team at the Heathrow airport. Veena Rebimbus will join the team on July 1.
This is the first time in the history of UK that such a big team of Konkani artistes is travelling all the way from Mangaluru to perform on stage.
The 262nd Wilfy Nite is scheduled to take place at Hotel Clay Oven in Wembley in London on July 4 this year. The musical show has been organized to commemorate the fifth death anniversary of legendary Konkani singer-composer the late Wilfy Rebimbus and to pay tribute to his noble soul.
All Konkani families in London are eagerly waiting to attend the show this Saturday.
