After fashionista's role, Ridhima Sud eyes some action

New Delhi, July 1 (IANS): Her debut film "Dil Dhadakne Do" saw her essay the role of a chic and fashionable girl, but Ridhima Sud, who is happy to have received compliments from industry seniors like Javed Akhtar and Karan Johar, says she would now like to be part of an action entertainer.

“I would love to physically challenge myself and do an action film in the future. But for now, perhaps a more desi role,” Ridhima told IANS when asked about her Bollywood plans.

"Dil Dhadakne Do" had a plethora of established actors including Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Rahul Bose and Zarina Wahab.

"It was a dream. It was everything one could ask for in their first film. I was apprehensive about being overwhelmed by the scale of things, but that was short lived," she said.

The film received a positive response at large, but Ridhima was especially overjoyous with some special compliments.

“Javed Akhtar's compliment about my work is something I will cherish forever. He had the nicest, most kind words to say about my performance... also, when Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt complimented me," said Ridhima, who is the first person from her family to foray into acting.

She is also in awe of some female actresses in Bollywood.

“My inspirations are Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut because they're game changers... Anushka (Sharma) for being the youngest producer in town (Anushka stepped into production with 'NH10')... And Tabu, for her brand of acting and international body of work,” she said.
