14 militants killed in US drone attack in Afghanistan

Kabul, July 1 (IANS): At least 14 militants were killed and their hideouts destroyed in a US drone strike in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

According to police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal of Nangarhar, the drone targeted two insurgent hideouts in Mach Megi area of Lalpur district on Tuesday.

Mashriqiwal said both the hiding places of the insurgents were destroyed in the strike, Khaama press reported.
