Southwest monsoon continues to be weak in Karnataka


Bengaluru, July 2 (IANS): Most places in Karnataka would experience heavy to moderate rainfall even as the southwest monsoon continues to be weak in the state, the Met office said here on Thursday.

Bengaluru would experience a generally cloudy sky with light rain and gusty winds in some areas, officials said.

The city witnessed only traces of rainfall on Wednesday.

While the minimum temperature was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is expected to would hover around 30 degrees, the weather office said.

On Wednesday, Bengaluru experienced a maximum temperature of 30.3 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature matched the season's average at 20.4 degrees Celsius.
