Rs 12 crore cheque bounce case filed against minister Chinchansur

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru Jul 7: A woman has alleged that minister for textiles Baburao Chinchansur has cheated her by issuing a cheque amounting to Rs 11.88 crore which has bounced.

Anjana A Shanthaveer from Nagarbhavi is the complainant. She had sought permission from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly to file a criminal case against the minister. But the Speaker stated that the sanction for filing criminal proceedings against the minister is not required. After that Anjana has approached the magistrate court.

Anjana has alleged that the minister had borrowed Rs. 11.88 crore from her from January to September in 2011 in several instalments for the renovation of his factories and the cheque he had issued in return dated April 30, 2015 has been dishonoured.

Anjana says that she has an agreement to the dealings on stamp paper which said the minister should pay an interest of 12 % per annum. Anjana says the minister did not pay a single rupee but instead started being rude to her.

Meanwhile Chinchansur has denied the allegation and filed a complaint against the woman, accusing her of stealing a cheque leaf and trying to withdraw cash amounting to Rs 11.88 crore from his bank account. Based on his complaint filed a few days ago, the Vidhana Soudha police have registered a case. Chinchansur says that the woman was close to his family hence she had the chance to steal the cheque leaf.

“The matter is still in the preliminary stage, and we are investigating it,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Sandeep Patil said commenting on the case.

    Lokayukta good case to investigate
This time it is not small amount
If anyone has taken so huge loan there must be some documentation no one will give 1000 rupees loan without an acknowledgment
They have to check the transactions in the account to see whether such huge amount has been done in this account
    Not so complicated to solve

Many questions come across when we read this story.
When the minister Chinchansur came to know that cheque is stolen?
The cheque was presented in the bank and the cheque had gone through all the verification process and finally got returned as there was no funds in his account?
When the woman informed the minister on this cheque return he gave her some offer to return the cheque directly? When this did not work he started telling that woman has done a forgery, she had stolen the cheque,.... Wa wa... wa... so many stories from this old man..... one should see his upset face on TV screen when he was bombarded with questions.

    What a politician...

Only GOD has to save this country.

This Ministers owning Sugar Factories cheated the gullible sugarcane farmers and drove them towards Suicide. Now he wants to cheat a women. How can a woman steal a single cheque from Ministers Office or Home which is protected by govt guards.
This trick of Chinchansur is very old. In many such cases of cheque-bounce the accused always files counter-complaint by stating that he has not issued any cheque to the drawee but his particular cheque was stolen. As a Bank employee I have witnessed many such tricks of the loan defaulters.
