Udupi: Young woman from Manipal commits suicide

Udupi, Jul 7: Navya (22), niece of Vijayakumar Shetty from Haklady in Kundapur taluk committed suicide at a rented accommodation at Manipal on the night of Sunday July 5.

She used to work as a development officer for Exide Life Insurance Company. She had hired accommodation in a house at Rajivanagar second cross in Manipal owned by a local, Purushotham. She hanged herself in the rented room on Sunday night. Reasons for taking this extreme step are not yet known.

Manipal police have registered a case, and are investigating.
