Rider killed in bike-bus collision at Chokkabettu

Mangaluru, Jul 7: After a city bus and motor bike collided head-on with each other at Chokkabettu near Suratkal on the night of Monday July 6, the rider of the two-wheeler lost his life.

The deceased was Ranjith (24), son of Madhava from Agara Melu village. He was moving in his motor bike towards Chokkabettu, when the accident occurred, involving the city bus that was bound for Suratkal.

Although efforts were made rush seriously injured Ranjith to a hospital, he breathed his last before medical help could be extended. Ranjith was a supervisor of carpentry work.

Relating to this accident, a case was registered in the city north police station here.
