Jul 7, (Emirates 247): A Saudi boy suffered from burns and light injuries after his iPhone smartphone exploded in his pocket at home in the Gulf Kingdom.
Abdullah bin Obaid Al Harbi has just put his iPhone 6 handset in his pocket and prepared to go out in his eastern home town of Jubail when the handset exploded.
Sabq newspaper said the phone was shattered into pieces while Harbi suffered from burns and injuries in his arm and leg.
It quoted his father as saying he bought the phone for his son at the start of the fasting month of Ramadan and that the seller assured him the handset is genuine.
"The doctor who treated Harbi at Jubail Hospital said he had not seen a similar case before," the paper added.
