Mangaluru: In theatres for over 250 days, 'Chaali Polilu' Tulu film creates record

Mangaluru, Jul 7: Tulu film 'Chaali Polilu' has created history in Tulu film industry by running successfully in theatres for 250 days and more, since its release in October 2014. Film producer Prakash Pandeshwar on Tuesday July 7 congratulated the viewers and the entire film crew who worked towards the success of the film.

Addressing a press meet here, Prakash Pandeshwar thanked everyone for the support and said, "Film 'Chaali Polilu' has created history in Tulu cinema. Moreover, the video rights of the movie has been sold for Rs 11 lac to Kishore from 'Music House'. This is the first time in Tulu film industry where the video rights of a Tulu movie has been sold for such large amount."

He also said that within a month, 'Chaali Polilu'' would hit the screens in Australia, and will also be screened for a second time in the theatres of Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Film director Veerendra Shetty Kavoor said, "Chaali Polilu is still running successfully. This film has created a milestone in the film industry and heralded a new era in the Tulu cinema."

Renowned Tulu actor Devdas Kapikad said, "Chaali Polilu has brought more honour to Tulunadu. The entire film crew should be thanked for their immense contribution. I wish that it runs successfully for another year."

Prakash Pandeshwar also spoke about his next film 'Dabak Dabaa Aisa' to be produced by entrepreneur Rohan Monterio. The shooting will begin this September. Shashiraj Kavoor has written the dialogues, while the lyrics have been written by Devdas Kapikad, Kadri Navneet Shetty, Veerendra Shetty, and Shashiraj Shetty. The music is to be directed by a young music director Rajesh. All the artistes of 'Chaali Polilu' movie will act in this movie also.

Actor Naveen D Padil, Kishore from 'Music House' were present.

    As I seen, "chaalipolilu" is the first & best movie in tulu forever. Congrats to the entire team & wish them for successful completion of 365 days too. And, also not forget "Ekka-saka" which is also a very good movie entertainer next to "chaalipolilu". Jai Ho....
