Udupi, Jul 8: We have all heard of drunk driving. In this case however, it was a tipper that seemed to be 'tipsy'.

A tipper lorry near Mattu in Katapady was the centre of all attention on Wednesday July 8, simply because of the curious way in which it was positioned.

The tipper was unloading mud near Mattu when all of a sudden, it turned upwards even as the driver was sitting inside. The driver panicked initially, but came out safely from the vehicle. Half the vehicle was in the air, as if the load of mud had played see-saw, and won.

A similar incident had occured at Thokkottu near Mangaluru a week ago when a truck turned upwards suddenly while in motion. Even then no injury was reported.

The sight provided some entertainment to curious passersby. Some gazed with puzzled looks, scratching their heads, while some others simply laughed it off calling it a 'circus show' by the tipper. All in all, the skyward facing tipper, that seemed to be literally head over heels, did turn a few heads with its stunt!
