New Delhi, May 15: The Supreme Court on Tuesday, reserved till Thursday its order on the plea for a CBI investigation into the Gujarat fake killing of Shohrabuddin Shaikh and his wife Kausar Bi.
A bench of Justices Tarun Chatterjee and P K Balasubramanian reserved the order after an hour-long argument during which the Gujarat government said it would complete the investigation within four to six weeks.
However, Attorney General Milan K Banerjee, appearing for the Centre, reiterated the demand for a CBI inquiry as police personnel from three different states were reportedly involved in the killing.
