Udupi, Jul 12: "Kaup town municipality should become a model public administrative body in the entire state by utilising Rs 100 crore grant from the urban development department for the comprehensive growth of the town," said urban development minister and district in-charge Vinay Kumar Sorake.

He was speaking after accepting a public felicitation organized by Kaup development committee and Vinay Kumar Sorake felicitation committee comprising people from Kaup, Mallar and Uliyargoli villages at Sri Lakshmi Janardhana Temple hall here on Sunday July 12.

"With the blessing of the voters of this constituency, I became a legislator and then the urban development minister as well as the minister in charge of this district. It is necessary to pay back the debt of the people by developing this constituency through the urban development department," Sorake added.

"The contribution of former legislators Bhaskar Shetty, Vasanth V Salian and Lalaji R Mendon in the development of Kaup is praiseworthy. I am proceeding on their path, though in a different way. As per the wishes of the people, we have created Kaup town municipality now. In future, we hope to make it a taluk centre," he said.

He does not differentiate between people on the basis of caste, creed or religion. He is not only the asset of the undivided Dakshina Kannada, but also of the entire state."

Former zilla panchayat president Katapady Shankara Poojary who presided over the function said, "Initially I was against the proposal of making Kaup a town panchayat. But now it has become a municipality. Hence it is on the development path now. I am not against any development."

Mr. Shetty, Time will give the right answer.

Do not increase your blood pressure by thinking of white colour which is representing peace, innocence, purity, beauty & cleanliness.

I do not understand why you are having so much of hesitation towards white colour.

Be cool and take a deep breath

I have also heard many times Shri Sorake doing good to many people. By some international fixed fate I landed up at Bilekahalli Bangalore. If he Covers a L shaped drain there (at Anugraha Layout) and makes it a small New York kind mirror it will be a really wonder full for us at Bangalore.
