UK Konkans Media Release

London, May 16: With less than 15 days remaining, there is a lot of buzz amongst the members of UK Konkans.  The organisation is all set to host yet another event, Konkan Day on 26 May 2007 at St. Chad's Church Hall, London, SE25 6NX.
 
Stanislaus Mendonca, president of UK Konkans, has promised to take 'Konkan Day' to a different level.  He promises of a host of activities, main attractions of which will be the Konkani Language Quiz designed specially for young children.  Also, the program is organised to hold a lot of inter-active events.  The quiz, he says, will help develop in children the interest to learn and speak konkani; while the interactive events will promote greater unity and mingleness amongst Mangaloreans.
 
Konkan Day will also be a platform for all budding youngsters to show their talents, which otherwise do not get an opportunity of exhibition.  The day also promises a host of entertainment in the form of lively music, games and surprises to one an all.  It will be great opportunity to dine and dance to Mangalorean Konkani Music and meet face to face with new families and make new friends with those who have only just made UK their abode.
 
Konkan Day is a perfect way to step into the summer mood and a superb break-away opportunity from an the gloomy English weather.  With the summer bank holiday just a couple of days later, the president together with all office bearers and members invites all Konkani speaking people in the UK to come and join them to witness their achievements and cherish the fond and enjoyable memories of Konkan Day for a long long time.
