Mangaluru, Jul 14: A person died at the service bus stand here on Sunday 12 evening, after a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus knocked him down.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Khader (46), native of Manjanady Bakimar. He was walking by the side of a private bus that had been parked at the bus stand, when a KSRTC bus hit him from behind.
Khader, who got trapped between the two buses, had suffered grievous injuries. He was immediately taken to the government Wenlock Hosital in the city and admitted there. The doctors however, found that he had already breathed his last.
A case about this accident stands filed in the city (west) traffic police station.
