Beltangady: Accidental fall at Dharmasthala - pilgrim dies

Beltangady, Jul 15: A woman from Bengaluru, who was on a visit to temple town Dharmasthala on pilgrimage, accidentally slipped and drowned in River Netravati on Tuesday July 14. Aruna (38), wife of Satyanarayana Acharya from Krishnappa Layout in Subrahmanyapuram, Bengaluru, had come to Dharmasthala alone, it is gathered.

The police have been given to understand that Aruna had the habit of visiting various temples and paying obeisance there. She had left her home, telling her family that she would return after visiting a nearby temple. However, after reaching Dharmasthala, she was having bath at bathing bay at Dharmasthala, when she slipped and drowned in the river, it is gathered.

The personnel of the police station here have registered a case of unnatural death.
