ICYM, Bejai organizes 'Cooking without Fire' competition

Mangaluru, Jul 15: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement of St Francis Xavier Church Bejai organized an Inter-ward 'Cooking without Fire' competition on Sunday July 12, 

at Bejai church hall. 23 groups from 11 wards participated in this event which saw a wide variety of dishes presented with various taste, colour and festivity.

















The whole event was coordinated and executed by ICYM unit of Bejai parish. The competition was judged by three able judges namely, Prof Anet Florence, the principal of Srinivas college of hotel management, Lester Madtha, lecturer at Laxmi memorial college of hotel management and Prashant Prabhu, vice principal of Vijayalaxmi institute of hospitality sciences.

A token of appreciation was given to all the participants and attractive prizes were given to the winners.

The winners are as follows:

First prize: Kapikad Lower ward with Assumpta Fernandes, Joyet Coelho and Josephine Cutinho

Second prize: Lalbagh ward with Philomena D’Souza, Vijay D’Silva and Cynthia D’Mello

Third prize: Museum B ward with Ludina Misquith, Nithin Lobo and Melba Rego.
