Bahrain, May 18: Konkani Kutam – Bahrain, A forum of Konkani activities in association with Karnataka Social Club organized a splendid cultural show on Thursday May 17 at Bishop Tirinanzi Hall which was attended by more than 1000 Konkani buffs.
It was a memorable event with wide variety of songs, spectacular dances and humorous jokes by Comedy King - Dolla accompanied with local artists, Stany D’Souza, Alwyn Peres, Walter Noronha, Sujay, George and Nelson.
The lights flickered, the audience clapped in rapture and the music was in rhythmic as the “Konkan Kogul”, Wilfy Rebimbus came on the stage and began the singing sessions with the song “Bahraingara.” 'Konkani Maina' Meena Rebimbus, Vishwas Rebimbus and Charleen Rebimbus along with local artists Sydney Correa, Richard Pais, Rony Fernandes, Muriel Gomes, Cynthia D'Souza, Meena D’Souza, Michelle Correa and Alma Pereira enthralled the crowd with excellent performances.
The theme in Wilfy Rebimbus' songs is so meaningful that it is difficult to fathom from the heart with emotions, affection, introspection, humanity, joy and sorrow. He has immensely contributed to Konkani music and language composing more than 3000 songs and Konkani lovers in Bahrain enjoyed his 239th Nite with rich tributes to the greatest veteran.
The ambassador of India to Bahrain Balakrishna Shetty was the chief guest with Sacred Heart Church parish priest Fr Thomas Quadros and Daijiworld.Com Editor-in-chief Walter Nandalike were the special guests.

Fr.Thomas Quadros fecilitated Wilfy Rebimbus. Dances were choreographed by Priya Mascarenhas assisted by Nishel Gomes and Sheetal Gomes.
Well-known musician Joswin Pinto directed music. Noted Toastmaster Ronald Olivera compered the programme.
