Mumbai, Jul 17: SRK has been loved by audiences the world over in many roles over the years, but his most badass one is yet to be as he dons the role of a man in the alcohol business. What's more the character he plays lives by the motto, "Dhande se bada koi dharm nahi hota."

Thanking his fans for their response to his teaser trailer, SRK tweeted, "Thanx everyone for Raees teaser feedback. My fav response was "Jalebi se meetha toh mera halwai hai". Love you all....for so much positivity."

SRK's look is replete with details like surma in his eyes and a tabez around his neck and the name of his character is Raees. Shahrukh himself has said that he has never before done a role like this one. The person portrayed by Shahrukh is a bootlegger who lives by his own rules and the context of the story is set in 1980's Gujarat.

The rest of the ensemble cast include Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Farhan Akhtar. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, it is all set for release on day of the holy festival of Eid in 2016. The teaser ends with a promise of sorts from SRK, as he says, "Aar raha hoon..."
