Eid to be celebrated in Delhi on Saturday

New Delhi, July 17 (IANS): Eid-ul-Fitr, which concludes the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, will be celebrated Saturday, the Naib Imam of the 17th-century Fatehpuri mosque announced here.

"The moon was seen in various places in Assam, Bihar, and Odisha today (Friday). So, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday)," Maulana Mufti Mohammed Mukarram told IANS.

He said the moon was not seen in Delhi because of clouds.
