Belthangady: Bike rider killed in accident near Aladangady

Belthangady, Jul 18: In a tragic accident involving a car and motor bike which occurred at Keddu near Aladangady in the taluk on Friday July 17, the motor bike rider was killed on the spot.

The deceased was Achut Acharya (36), son of Dharmanna Acharya from Shirlalu village. Achut had married a year back. He has left behind wife and a month-old baby.

Acharya was travelling in his motor bike from Guruvayankere, when his vehicle collided with a car arriving from the direction of Aladangady at a road bend near Mittarody, Keddu in the taluk. Achut was thrown on to the road in the accident, and died immediately as he suffered severe head injuries.

Achut was going to pay his last respects to Sridhar Acharya from Pilya after learning about his demise, when the accident occurred. A case was filed in Venoor police station based on a complaint filed by a person named Keshava Acharya.
