Two killed in Pakistan suicide blast


Islamabad, Jul 18 (IANS): At least two people were killed in a suicide blast near a university in Pakistan's Quetta city, media reported on Saturday.

The blast took place late Friday night near Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University, Dawn online reported.

Balochistan Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani said the bomber attempted to enter Quetta's Hazara town area but was intercepted by security personnel following which the
attacker, who was wearing women's clothes, prematurely detonated his explosives.

Sources said the attacker and a security guard were killed.
