Agency report

Islamabad, May 19: Pakistan's Minister for Tourism, Nilofar Bakhtiar has reportedly resigned in protest over her removal as the president of the women's wing of the Pakistan Muslim League (Quami).

She has also objected to the appointment of Women's Development and Youth Affairs Minister Sumaira Malik in her place," one of her aides was quoted by the Daily Times, as saying.

Official channels expressed their ignorance about the issue.

Bakhtiar has been in the news of late after the Darul Afta of Lal Masjid issued a decree against her and demanded of the government to punish and sack her from her office for being snapped with the para gliders of Paris in obscene manner.
