Udupi: New office bearers of Manipal Udupi Toastmasters Club take oath

Udupi, Jul 20: "The new office bearers of the Manipal Udupi Toastmasters Club took oath in a glittering ceremony at Hotel Madhuvan Serai, Manipal.

Tanuja Maben has taken over as president of the club for the year 2015-16. Poorvi, area director for Area 3 of Division F, District 92 gave the oath.

Prof Dr Raj Rodriguez was the chief guest at the installation ceremony. In his address, prof Dr Rodriguez emphasized on the importance of communication and leadership in every person's life. He also said that platforms like Toastmasters clubs should be used effectively to enhance their precious skills.

Division Director Malini Hebbar wished the new team all the best in her address.

Rajshekhar Pillai welcomed the gathering. Shashikanth and Vijayalakshmi were the Masters of Ceremonies.

Divya Kamath delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony was also attended by many Toastmasters from Mangaluru.

After the programme a cultural event was hosted by Chandakalawas .

Other office bearers of the club are: Chetana Maddodi - VP education, Pradeep Jogi - VP membership, Chaithrika Kamath - VP public relations, Kalpana Prabhu - treasurer, Vijayalakshmi - secretary, Rajshekhar - sergeant at arms."
