Udupi, Jul 21: Dr Jerry Vincent Dias was honoured on receiving his doctorate from the Academy of Universal Global Peace at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perampalli on July 19. Dr Jerry Vincent Dias is president of Udupi Builders Association and managing director of Mandavi Builders and Developers on June 27, 2015.

This honorary programme was organized in recognition of the contributions and achievements made by Dr Jerry Dias .

The programme began by welcoming the guest. Fr Romeo Lewis, the parish priest then delivered his message.

The choir group sang a congratulatory song. He was then honoured with a crown, shawl, garland, fruits, letter of honour after which Dr Jerry Dias delivered his message.

Mercy Merlyn Dias, Fr Romeo Lewis, the parish priest, Denis Furtado, president of the parish council, Jerome Saldanha, secretary of the parish council, Sr Noela Menezes, former president and secretary of the parish council, Lancy D'sa and Joseph D'souza were present on the dais. Glen Dias, Jason Dias and a large number of parishioners were present which added colour to the programme.
