Three policemen thrashed in Gurgaon pub


Gurgaon, July 21 (IANS): Three policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, were roughed up by employees of a pub after they intervened in a brawl in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.

ASI Naresh Kumar, and constables Deepak and Rajpal reached the pub on the Mehrauli Gurgaon Road after receiving information about a brawl between two groups. However, the policemen were beaten up when they tried to intervene.

A few employees of the pub have been booked for attacking the policemen.

A case was registered on charges of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty and criminal intimidation under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
