Ghaziabad set to expand green cover


Ghaziabad, July 21 (IANS): A whopping 2.6 lakh saplings will be planted in Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh this year.

Vijay Kumar Yadav, vice chairman of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), on Tuesday urged residents to make the exercise, aimed at greening the district bordering Delhi, a resounding success.

An expenditure of Rs.35 lakh will be spent in the plantation drive.
