Abused by man claiming to be MLC for objecting to parking: Mohandas Pai

Bengaluru, Jul 22 (PTI): Former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai today said he was threatened by a person claiming to be a Member of Legislative Council after he objected to the illegal parking of his vehicle on a footpath in the heart of the city.

"I was threatened by a person claiming to be an MLC after I objected to illegal parking of the vehicle on the footpath on Ali Aksar Road. This happened yesterday," Pai here said.

Pai also said the person hurled abuses and behaved rashly.

"The person hurled abuses and behaved in an uncouth manner and talked of his connections with the bigwigs in political circles," he claimed.

He said he has not lodged a criminal complaint against the person, but complained to Bengaluru Police Commissioner M N Reddi.

"I have complained about this incident to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner, but did not lodge criminal complaint against him," he said.

Police are investigating the matter and are on the hunt for the person, whose photo had been uploaded on Pai's Twitter handle.

    Since Mr. Pai is not a political figure, this idiot MLC or what have you, must have seen him as just another foot path user, and behaved rudely.

    All such incidents, public nuisances must be circulated through electronic media so that people will come forward to bring all illegal activities to light, and demand strict penalties.

    Sir, good job. Hope the action will be taken. Please also take a consideration what if a normal citizen would have objected to this? do we have an access to the police commissioner? or could some one supported us as well? i am wondering if this is so difficult to an eminent person of our society to voice his/ her concern on this social problem. how much more it could be for we normal citizens? hope someone takes a note of it.
