Per Capita National Income increasing: Centre


New Delhi, July 22 (IANS): The central government on Wednesday said India's National Income measured as Net National Income at market prices and Per Capita National Income measured as Per Capita Net National Income at market prices have been increasing during the past three years.

Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation V.K. Singh unveiled a list of states highlighting this fact in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

He said the estimates of National Income and Per Capita Income for the current financial year will be released in February 2016.

As per the data, Tamil Nadu clocked the top spot having a per capita income of Rs.128,366 followed by Uttarakhand with Rs.115632.

Uttar Pradesh and Bihar featured on the bottom at Rs.40,373 and Rs.36.143 respectively.
