Mangaluru, Jul 23: The valedictory ceremony of the postgraduate diploma in guidance and counselling for the 2014-15 batch of St Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies & Research and the initiation for the 2015 batch were organized at the auditorium in St Agnes College premises here on July 22.

The programme began with invocation and lighting of the lamp. Issac Sikha welcomed the guests.

Speaking on the occasion Hemacharya, editor-in-chief, Daijiworld Weekly said, "I congratulate the guidance and counselling diploma batch of 2014-15 on the successful completion of the course. This course will add value to life as many who have completed the course come from various walks of life. Smile, have a positive attitude, respect time, ask questions and respect your freedom - these are the qualities that need to be cultivated in life."

Narrating his life story, he said, "As there are issues of freedom in professing our faith, we are leading a life of fear. In order to live free we have to listen to the voice of our conscience."

He also gave away the diploma certificates for the outgoing batch.

Dr Meena briefed on the postgraduate diploma in guidance and counselling to the audience.

Some of the students of the outgoing batch shared their experiences of one year of the course.

A oath taking ceremony for the new batch for the year 2015 was held.

Leena Bhat compered the programme.

Dr Nishi Guru psychiatrists at K S Hegde Medical Academy, Lugina Miranda coordinator, Sr Marie Evelyn, co-odinator. St Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies were also present.
