Congress MPs have not done homework: BJP

New Delhi, July 23 (IANS): The BJP on Thursday slammed Congress MPs for "not doing their homework before attending the parliament session".

"(Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha) Anand Sharma's notice in the Rajya Sabha talks of discussion. It did not mention anything regarding demand for the resignation of anyone. On the other hand, they are shouting and demanding resignations of the ministers. They have not done their homework. They got entangled in their own trap," said Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

"They are wasting the time of parliament, and the people of this country will not forgive them. We earnestly request them to do their homework and let the discussions happen instead of disrupting the proceedings of the House," he said.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. on Thursday after repeated disruptions as the opposition demanded the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh respectively.
