Hollande, Rouhani talks to boost bilateral cooperation

Paris, Jul 24 (IANS/EFE): French President, Francois Hollande, congratulated his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani on the nuclear agreement recently reached between the Islamic Republic and the P5 1.

On a telephone conversation on Thursday, both leaders agreed to boost bilateral cooperation between their countries in this new context.

The two presidents discussed the conditions of applying the nuclear agreement signed in Vienna on July 14, according to a statement released by the Elysee Palace.

The statement also noted that Hollande said he wanted Iran to make a "positive" contribution to solving crises in the Middle East, and confirmed that the French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius will be visiting Iran next Wednesday.

That trip is part of a mutual will to boost bilateral cooperation, according to the statement.
