Puttur: Woman dies after being hit by motor bike

Puttur, Jul 25: A woman, who had sustained grievous injuries after being hit by a motor bike, breathed her last late night on Thursday July 23. The accident had occurred on Thursday morning at Padaka near Bethany School at Renjilady within the limits of Kadaba police station.

The deceased has been identified as Chomu (50), wife of Taniya from Goliyadka village.

On Thursday morning, Chomu was walking by the side of Bethany school on Mardhala-Ichalampady road, when a motor bike which came from the opposite direction knocked her down at Padaka. The woman, who was thrown to the asphalted road with force, sustained serious injuries to her head and legs. She was immediately taken to Wenlock Hospital at Mangaluru for treatment. However, she did not properly respond to treatments, and breathed her last at around 11 pm that day.
