Mangaluru, Jul 25: MLC Ivan D'Souza was on Saturday July 25 felicitated by the district Youth Congress on being conferred the title 'Sadana Veera' by chief minister Siddaramaiah.

Speaking at a press meet here on Saturday, Ivan D'Souza said, "This time in the council I asked all 100 out of 100 questions and got answers. I raised a question on Adyar Kemmanjur railway bridge where many accidents have occurred. This bridge has been a demand of people for over 30 years. Infrastructure and information minister Roshan Baig answered the question and said that Rs 92.37 lac has been sanctioned for the bridge. Now the central government has to give the required sanction. Hence I request our member of parliament to get the sanction from the central railway ministry."

He further said, "I had raised also raised a question regarding work on upgrading the Central railway station to world-class standards, and Roshan Baig replied that it comes under the central government, so the state government cannot do anything on this particular issue. So I request all the central ministers from our state including the member of parliament to take a delegation to the central railway minister and get the work done.

"I travelled through Shiradi Ghat road on Friday July 24. The work has been done excellently. Now it is completely ready to open for public use, but heavy vehicles should not be allowed until the concrete edges are filled".

Corporator Shashidar Hegde, Merill Rego, Mithun Rai, Praveen Chandra Alva and others were present.

Even I can get answers for all my questions by Right to Information (RTI) act. MLC is chosen to solve problems. Not asking questions. Drama fellow..
