Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), July 27 (IANS): A racket in pirated films has been busted in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district with the arrest of four members of the group which also has members in France and Australia, police said on Monday.

Nine other members are still absconding.

Police official Ashish said the lid was taken off the racket following a complaint by one Ankit Verma, of the Omti Thana area here, who blamed Priyank Pardesi of cheating him of Rs.18 lakh in the name of getting him a job.

When Pardesi was held, his computer at home was inspected, but police found 1,234 films, including latest Bollywood films like 'Bahubali' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', uploaded on the server and mobiles.

During enquiry, Priyank revealed that Rahul Mehta of Delhi and Toni of Ghaziabad used to shoot films from cinemas and multiplexes and would prepare their pirated movies. They used to supply it to Jabalpur and many cities across the country and even in Australia and France.

These films were prepared by the second day of the films' release and uploaded on their websites. Anyone downloading from this website would have to pay them.
