KNS conducts inter parish singing competition

Mangaluru, Jul 28: Konkani Natak Sabha (KNS) Mangaluru organized the 52nd inter parish singing competition for children of different parishes of Mangaluru diocese at Don Bosco hall here on Sunday, July 26.

The competition was inaugurated by Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza, the president of KNS by lighting the lamp along with office bearers.

















































The competition was held in two parts - outside city parishes and city parishes groups in 5-10 years and 10-15 years categories.

66 competitors from ten parishes took part in the outside city parishes group for the solo, duet and mixed group. Gurpur parish bagged the first, Nithyadar Nagar parish won the second and Allipade parish the third places.

Among the city parishes group, 147 competitors from thirteen parishes took part in solo, duet and mixed group. Bondel parish bagged the first, Bejai parish the second and Bajjodi parish the third places.

Sr Silvian AC, Roshan Martis and Antony Martis were the judges.

Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Judy D’Souza compered. General Secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks. Convenor Jossy Theodore announced the results.
