Two convicts hanged in Pakistan


Islamabad, July 28 (IANS): Two death row prisoners were hanged early on Tuesday in Pakistan's Punjab province as the government’s month-long moratorium on executions expired with the end of Ramadan.

Akhtar Hussain and Karim were executed in the Multan and Attock jails respectively, Dawn reported.

Hussain was sentenced to death by a sessions court for a murder in 1999.
Karim was said to have committed a murder in 2003.
