Manjhi's HAM recognised by poll panel


Patna, Jul 29 (IANS): The Election Commission has recognised the Hindustan Awami Morcha (HAM) of former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi as a political party, the party said on Wednesday.

Manjhi had in May this year launched the HAM, which later joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

The HAM is the BJP's third ally in Bihar. The others are union minister Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) and union minister Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP).
