New Delhi, July 29 (IANS): A charge sheet against "Peepli Live" co-director Mahmood Farooqui, accused in a rape case, was filed in a court here on Wednesday.
Delhi Police filed the charge sheet before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Devender Kumar Garg, who took cognizance and posted the matter for August 1.
Delhi Police charge sheeted Farooqi, accused of raping a 35-year-old American national and in judicial custody presently, under various sections dealing with rape and destruction of evidence.
The victim, who is pursuing Ph.D. from Columbia University, was in India for some research.
