New Delhi, Jul 30 (IANS): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said India will give a befitting reply to any terror activity launched in India from across the border.

"Any attempts to attack the unity and integrity of India will get a befitting reply. We are dedicated to stopping all terror activities being done from across the border," he said while making a statement in the Rajya Sabha on the terrorist attack in Dinanagar town in Gurdaspur district of Punjab on July 27.

The home minister informed the Rajya Sabha that the three terrorists might have infiltrated taking advantage of heavy rains and swollen 'nullahs' along the India-Pakistan border.

In his statement made amid a din and anti-government slogans by the opposition, Rajnath Singh also lauded the Punjab Police for neutralising the three terrorists.

He said that information was being gathered from the Global Positioning System device seized from the terrorists who, he said, also had a night vision device.

The union home minister said that the Border Security Force was always on the alert though some terrorist might have succeeded in infiltrating due to heavy rains and swelling of rivers and nullahs on the border.

    When the Befitting reply to terror will come is the question which has no answer. We are hearing this tough talk for many whether it is congress or BJP. Also before election PM Modi gave befitting messages to pakistan but after election he mellowed down completely. Now he garlands Pak PM, calls him, talks to him and finally decided to visit Pakistan in 2016. So it will all talk and no action.

    These are only hollow talks. What is Home Ministry doing? Terrorist can reach so deep inside INDIA and execute precisely such activities. Are we sleeping. This is nothing but in competence. First we should take them to task rather than giving hollow statements.

    Myanmar is a tiny country who cannot defend itself and they did not attack India but Pakistan blatantly attacks India and all we do is to say we will hit back with force. Jawans would give a befitting reply to these terrorists if only the government has the guts and morality to order the attack. You also know that our Jawans are using outdated weapons and armour so don't support BJP blindly.
