Abu Dhabi, May 30: Abu Dhabi based Kannada Journalist and critic Manohar Tonse received yet another award 'Suvarna Ratna' from Spoorthi Charitable Trust, Bangalore, India.  Award presentation ceremony was held at Town Hall, J.C. Road, Bangalore, India reently on the occasion of "May Day", which was inaugurated by N. Ramareddy, Ministry of Labour & Employment,   Srikantadatta Wodeyar and Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishruvardhan.  Tonse is one of the few noted
personalities selected for meritorious service rendered to the society.

Manohar Tonse has been contributing news reports, articles and interviews to various Kannada Newspapers published in Karnataka and Mumbai since last two decades.  He has presented several literary criticisms on various occasions both in Mumbai and U.A.E.  He is one of the organisers of  Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha and Founder member and co-ordinator of Billawara Balaga, Abu Dhabi.
